Public Awareness and Communication Plan

This Public Awareness and Communication Plan has been developed under the framework of the ADEWB II Project to support veterinary authorities in the Western Balkans in their efforts to build a risk-aware and informed stakeholder base. The strategy promotes timely, clear, and effective communication related to animal identification and registration, disease surveillance, early reporting, and the implementation of control measures in line with EU and international standards.

The strategy serves as a practical guide for communication planning and implementation, offering tailored messages, delivery channels, materials, and tools for various stakeholder groups. It also emphasizes the importance of consistency, trust, and credibility in information sharing, particularly during animal health emergencies.

The campaign materials, which include disease-specific brochures, posters, TV/radio scripts, and digital assets, are designed to be adaptable for national use. They are complemented by recommendations for tone, slogans, stakeholder engagement, and feedback mechanisms to promote a two-way communication culture and ensure continuous improvement.
