The official start of the project was on 1st of January 2020 with an Inception phase of three months. The Contractor mobilized the core project team in January 2020 who had the Kick off meeting with the representatives from the Contracting Authority in Brussels on 30th January.

INCEPTION REPORT – Executive summary

The project “Action on Disease Eradication in the Western Balkan” (the ADEWB Project) is implemented in six different countries of the Western Balkan (WB) region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo* and Serbia). The project main beneficiaries are the veterinary competent authorities of the concerned countries and the project purpose is to ensure that the technical capacity of the beneficiary competent authorities is upgraded to ensure favourable animal health status for the whole region over long term and enable free access of products of animal origin to the EU markets.

Information

The project “EU Regional action on animal disease eradication in the Western Balkans”, EuropeAid140314/DH/SER/Multi - SANTE/2018-G-046, is financially supported by the European Union (EU) to facilitate trade with the EU for the Western Balkan Countries by achieving the same animal disease status as EU Member States at accession and building capacity in the veterinary authorities of the beneficiary countries. The project started in January 2020 and will last until January 2022.
