AESA has recently signed the contract for the #EU funded project, Technical Assistance to support the Ministry of Health and Regions to manage the Social Determinants of Health #SDHH for Gender Equality program in #Ethiopia.

During the next 36 months, AESA team will support the Government of Ethiopia in improving #health and #nutrition of its citizens with specific emphasis on improving health and nutrition of women and adolescent girls and children under five years of age.

In particular the TA Contract will contribute to the improvement of social determinants affecting health outcomes in three of Ethiopia’s Developing Regional States Afarr, Benishangul-Gumuz and Gambela. The Federal Ministry of Health will be supported in developing Regional #Grant projects documents to be financed by the SDH for Gender Equality program, including drafting of updated situational-analysis, and providing #capacity-building to enable #DRS effectively implement, manage and monitor their respective Regional Grants (SO2). Moreover, close collaboration will be ensured to the national research institute in conducting the Operational research/Impact Evaluation of the SDH program.
