7th Western Balkan CVO Forum
for Communication and Cooperation and
5th ADEWB II Project Steering Committee Meeting

The 7th Western Balkan Chief Veterinary Officers Forum for Communication and Cooperation (WB CVO Forum) and 5th ADEWB II Project Steering Committee meeting (SCM) took place on 4-5 December 2024 in Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
First session of the meeting was organized in cooperation with the Lot 2 of the “Capacity building of veterinary and plant health services in the Western Balkan” (PHWB) Project. The joint session of the Chief Officer of Plant Health (COPH) and CVOs was held to demonstrate the One Health approach in line with the EU’s acquis and best practices in this field.
Second session of the meeting was dedicated to panel discussion regarding the Animal health and other relevant rules for entry into the EU, and the ADEWB II Project plans for Tailored approach for assisting countries in achieving of approval for export of priority commodities. The presentations highlighted key EU legal requirements concerning animal health, animal welfare, and aspects of public health essential for market access to the EU for animals and animal-origin products.
The 5th ADEWB II Project Steering Committee meeting took place on 5 December 2024. During the meeting, the ADEWB II Project Team presented an overview of the progress achieved during the reporting period and outlined the work plan for the next six months.
