ADEWB ll A4 Online Workshop Avian Influenza 17.04.2025
As part of the ADEWB II Project, an online webinar was held on 17 April 2025 with participants from veterinary authorities in the Western Balkans. The event focused on strengthening national avian influenza surveillance systems in line with Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/689, and promoting regional cooperation.
As part of the ADEWB II project, a workshop on standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample collection, packaging, and transport was held on 14-15 April 2025 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Skopje.
The event targeted technical staff from the veterinary services of the beneficiary countries, aiming to improve practical skills and harmonize field implementation of SOPs.

According to the project work plan, ADEWB II project organised the 2nd Workshop on legislation – Implementation of EU rules related to animal health certification and conditions for entry into the EU of consignments of animals, germinal products and products of animal origin, held 19-20 March 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia.
The workshop was dedicated for technical staff of the veterinary competent authorities from beneficiary countries (BCs), members of the project Expert group on legislation. In total, 24 participants were present.
Workshop objective was to support the beneficiary countries to strengthen their system to fulfil EU requirements related to certification for movement and entry into EU of live animals, germinal products and products of animal origin. Regular revision and update of national Action plans, developed under ADEWB (I) project was done. Updated national Action plans may be downloaded here with the credentials.
The lecturers were Dr Žaklin Acinger-Rogić, Dr Martina Rubin, Dr Edvins Olsevskis and Dr Vidmantas Paulauskas, supported by the ADEWB II Project team.
